Gives the start date for [[daylight saving time in the United States]] (currently the second Sunday in March) for the year in parameter 1 (the current year if not specified), which must be 1967 or later.<br />

Optional parameter 2 (named {{Para|disp}}), when set to "<kbd>md</kbd>", causes output of month and day only (e.g. "November 3"). If not present, or set to "<kbd>mdy</kbd>" (or any other value), output includes month, day, and year (e.g. "November 3, 2013").<br />
<br />
The dates for 1967–2012 are historically correct, and those for 2013 and beyond are accurate {{as of|2013|10|27|lc=y|df=US}}.<br />
